Lumina, more than just a brand

The brand has been around since 2021, and behind it lies not only passion but also a lot of expertise and enthusiasm for the sustainable world of cloth diapering.

Andrea and Dominik even had the opportunity to present the brand on the Austrian startup show "2 Minuten 2 Millionen" and managed to convince Tchibo of the brand and its products, as well as 2 investors.

As a family, the brand and everything it stands for is very important to us. Based on the experience with a total of 4 children in diapers and an experienced cloth diaper consultant, the product range was created, combining the best of the cloth diaper world into one brand.

Our Values

We want to run our company with mindfulness. Because we are thinking about the future of our children who will live in it.

The quality of the materials is very important to us, which is why we spent a long time searching for the perfect manufacturer for our needs.

We want to be honest with you and also talk about the challenges that everyday life with a baby can bring, even with cloth diapers. That's why it's even more important to us to produce simple and affordable cloth diapers.

We love our community. Every family that diapers with us is a part of Lumina and we are grateful for that.

Because we do all of this for our children - and all those who come after them

We know that not every day goes perfectly. That sometimes mountains of laundry await and little hands mess everything up.
But we also know: every single cloth diaper that doesn't end up in the trash makes a difference. Lumina Stoffwindeln is more than a product.
It is a passion project of ours.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Our Production

Sustainability doesn't start with the country of origin.

At Lumina, we attach great importance to transparency. That's why we want to openly explain why we have our products manufactured in China.

Our production is located in a region known for its high quality standards and fair working conditions. We work exclusively with partners who share our values and use certified materials. Furthermore, we maintain regular personal contact with our manufacturing facility. Over the years, this has led to a trusting collaboration that goes far beyond a pure business relationship. Only through this close contact can we ensure that quality, working conditions and our high standards are consistently met.

We are aware that the production location is often viewed critically. In reality, however, it is not solely the country that determines a product's environmental footprint, but the entire value chain. Many European manufacturers also source fabrics, materials or individual components from Asia and transport them to Europe before production takes place there. This often results in additional transport routes and processing steps.

Even more important, however, is the comparison with disposable diapers: While a cloth diaper can be used for many years and often even for several children, disposable diapers have to be constantly re-produced, transported and then disposed of. Over the entire period of use, this results in significantly more resource consumption, waste and CO₂ emissions.

For us, sustainability therefore means more than just the production location. It begins with responsible manufacturing, high-quality and certified materials, fair partnerships and ends with durable products that can accompany families for many years and replace thousands of disposable diapers.
